Every property that our Super Pressure team inspects all have one thing in common, you guessed it, a roof! Everyone relies on this feature of the home to protect them, but if you don’t protect your roof by keeping it clean, it’s not going to last as long as you think. Soft pressure washing is the best way to preserve your roof.
What is the biggest threat to your roof you ask? A bacterial growth called Gloeocapsa Magma. Gloeocapsa magma is a species of cyanobacteria. Cyanobacteria are an ancient line of photosynthesizing bacteria, which photolyze water generating oxygen gas. It’s very similar to algae as it clings to outdoor surfaces, which leaves those unsightly black stains.
How do I get rid of it? Gloeocapsa Magma is quite stubborn. The only way to remove this bacteria without harming your roofs features is by soft pressure washing it. Soft washers combine proven cleaning chemicals and water at a low-pressure to clean your roof spotless. Conventional pressure washing isn’t a appropriate solution for roofs. The power is way too much for your roofs features to safely handle, which means that you might damage your roofing in the process of trying to cleaning it.
